FLOWERS OF HAPPINESS

A$800.00

Ancient Greeks associated different flowers to different gods and took floral offerings to the temples. This eventually evolved into giving flowers to women, as “earthly goddesses”, to express sentiment.

The emotionally guarded Victorian Era shared their deep feelings and sentiments through the giving of flowers. They considered flower type, colour, aroma and position to other flowers, to ensure the right emotional message was conveyed to the recipient.

The language of fresh flowers in a home, for me, has always radiated love, happiness and gratitude. Which is what I feel every time I paint blooms.
